Murphy's Law

We've all heard it. It's Monday morning, there's a traffic jam on the thruway, and you can't make it to class on time. And in the meantime, you spill coffee all over your brand new leather interior. (Not that this happened or anything). So you tell your tale of woe to your friend, and she offers the sympathy of "Murphy's Law" . So who is Murphy? And why the hell is he ruining everyones day?

Murphy's Law defined is: If anything can go wrong, it will. Fantastic. After a bit of googling and serious procrastination in regards to homework, I found a little about this man we call Murphy. It turns out, his real name was Captain Edward A. Murphy, and he was in the Air Force serving as an engineer in a project created to measure how much decleration a person could stand in a crash. So one day, (apparently Murphy was having a particularly bad day), he got a little flustered with a technician who wired something wrong, Murphy had to fix it, and he said "If there's anyway to do it wrong, he'll find it". The manager of this project was quite the clever one, and kept a list of laws, added this one, and Murphy's Law was born. If you want to know more info (I couldn't imagine you would), go to murphy's-laws.com.

So, now you have a little tid-bit of info to use as a conversation starter at a bar or something equally as awful. Enjoy!
